In March, Guides celebrated International Women’s Day and spent the evening dressed as the women or girls that inspire them.
We had Mums, nurses, football players, pop stars and even our own Greta Thunberg! It was great to see the girls being so enthusiastic about the women they had chosen to represent, and what it meant to them to be able to live in a world where women were just as important as men.
We then found out more about these women by holding a “speed-discovery” challenge, where the girls had two minutes to introduce themselves and explain why they had chosen that particular woman to represent.
