Guides

Whilst guides only re-opened in May 2022 it has grown and thrived. Now with between 18-20 girls attending each week.

The weekly meetings follow the guide programme which means the girls are working towards their skills builders and themes badges often without even realising it.

Some of the weekly meetings have included: designing and making their own game, making citrus bird feeders, making slime, making butter and testing sugar density, camp gadgets and campfire cooking.

Community action:  Guides are completed litter picks around the area and did a penny hike. They supported Remembrance Sunday and attended the War memorial Carol concert.

Trips:  Guides have been ice skating, swimming and went to watch Matilda at the cinema.

Camp: 12 guides attended their first camp at The Oaks in Charnwood where they took part in rifle shooting, archery and went on the assault course. Thankfully the weather was warm and dry.
