Beavers
We have returned to face 2 face scouting from 15th September 2021
We are looking forward to the next couple of months settling back into scouting and offering the beavers a well-balanced program of activities, that will allow them to use their skills, grow their skills, and develop their teamwork.
Become part of our adventure
The 1st Shelton Lock beavers meet every Wednesday term time from 5.30pm to 6.30 pm.
Do you have an interesting occupation or hobby that our Beavers would like to hear about? If so, please talk to our leaders.
Alternatively, you might like to volunteer at one of our activity evenings; an extra pair of hands is always welcome.
1st Shelton Lock Scout Group
Would you like the chance to go camping, climbing and lead community projects while helping to prepare young people with skills for life?
As part of the 1st Shelton Lock Scout Group, we are looking for people who can help plan and deliver a safe and exciting program for the young people.
You will use you energy and creativity to help young people have fun, develop their potential and earn a wide range of badges and awards.
The Group only offers Beavers and Cubs to the young people at this moment in time and they would really like to offer the Scout section. So we are looking for adults who think they could help in achieving this. There are so many roles, not just leaders (there will be some training and a Scouts DBS which will be required to be taken).
1st Shelton Lock Scout Group is part of the Scouts, offering fun, friendship and skills for life to over 46,000 young people across the UK.
Chief Scout Bronze Award
In 2020/1 we had the pleasure of awarding 9 beaver scouts their Chief Scout Bronze award (the highest badge a beaver scout can achieve). The Beavers achieved this by working hard over lockdown.
