Cubs are the next members of scouting after the beaver section and meet for one hour and a half per week in school term time. The age range is 8 to 10.5 years and is open to boys and girls. They enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; mastering new skills, indoor and outdoor activities, having fun and making new friends, helping others, and make a difference in their local community friends. and attend Cub camps.
We have returned to face 2 face scouting.
WE look forward to offering the cubs a balanced programme of activities over the upcoming months.

1ST Shelton Lock Scout Group
Would you like the chance to go camping, climbing and lead community projects while helping to prepare young people with skills for life?
As part of the 1st Shelton Lock Scout Group, we are looking for people who can help plan and deliver a safe and exciting program for the young people.
You will use you energy and creativity to help young people have fun, develop their potential and earn a wide range of badges and awards.
The Group only offers Beavers and Cubs to the young people at this moment in time and they would really like to offer the Scout section. So we are looking for adults who think they could help in achieving this. There are so many roles, not just leaders (there will be some training and a Scouts DBS which will be required to be taken).
Anyone interested and would like to hear more about the group, then please contact Tina (Group Scout Leader) via email:
1st Shelton Lock Scout Group is part of the Scouts, offering fun, friendship and skills for life to over 46,000 young people across the UK.
